Welcome back to the Who Got The Points newsletter - your fast-track guide to making the right FPL moves before the Gameweek 32 deadline this Friday. In today's edition, we're breaking down the three best transfers in, the three assets you should be selling, two low-ownership differentials that could skyrocket your rank, and the captaincy call you can't afford to get wrong. Let's get into it.
📰 GW31 Results: What You Need to Know

B.Fernandes

Bowen
Gameweek 31 threw up some massive results that have major implications for your GW32 planning. Here's the quick digest:
Nottingham Forest 3-0 Spurs - Forest continuing their extraordinary run under Sean Dyche
Everton 3-0 Chelsea - a nightmare result if you're holding João Pedro
Brighton 2-1 Liverpool - bad news for Liverpool FPL assets heading into GW32
Sunderland 2-1 Newcastle - a stunning Tyne-Wear derby result with FPL knock-on effects
🚑 Injury & Availability Watch
Dango Ouattara (Bournemouth) - benched in GW31 in what appears to be a tactical decision; monitor closely before committing to any Bournemouth attacking assets
Summeville (West Ham) - carrying a knock per the latest team news; avoid for GW32
Thiago - picked up a poor DefCon score in GW31, fitness questions remain; stay alert before the deadline
✅ Transfers IN: Three Players to Target
1. Gabriel (Arsenal) - £7.2m | 43.1% Ownership
Gabriel is the standout transfer target for Gameweek 32 and it isn't particularly close. The Arsenal centre-back has kept 14 clean sheets this season and is averaging an extraordinary 6.9 points per game - numbers that rival most premium midfielders and forwards. He's already pulled in over 41,000 transfers this week, and it's easy to see why.
Arsenal host Bournemouth on Saturday, and this is the fixture you want your defensive assets in. Bournemouth carry an FDR of 5 away from home in this one - as tough as it gets - and Andoni Iraola's side will face a relentless Arsenal press at the Emirates. Gabriel also contributes at set pieces, registering 3 goals and 4 assists this season, meaning he carries attacking upside on top of clean sheet potential.
His expected points for GW32 stand at 8.8 - the highest of any defender this week. If you don't have Gabriel, this is the week to fix that before the Friday deadline.
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| Price | £7.2m |
| Ownership | 43.1% |
| Clean Sheets (Season) | 14 |
| Goals (Season) | 3 |
| Assists (Season) | 4 |
| Avg Points Per Game | 6.9 |
| GW32 xP | 8.8 |
| GW32 Fixture | Arsenal vs Bournemouth (H) |
Essential. If you don't have Gabriel, fix that now. He's the standout defensive asset in the game right now and faces the perfect fixture in GW32.
2. Gyökeres (Arsenal) - £8.8m | 11.5% Ownership
If you're looking for a differential with serious ceiling, Gyökeres is your man. The Arsenal forward has racked up 11 goals this season and carries a form rating of 5.8 heading into Gameweek 32, with 6.8 expected points against Bournemouth at home. That's a mouth-watering prospect.
At just 11.5% ownership, there is still a genuine differential edge here - and with the same fixture as Gabriel, bringing both Arsenal assets in gives you double coverage of what looks like the weekend's most favourable matchup. Nearly 18,000 managers have already made the move this week, so the window to steal a march on your rivals is closing.
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| Price | £8.8m |
| Ownership | 11.5% |
| Goals (Season) | 11 |
| Form Rating | 5.8 |
| GW32 xP | 6.8 |
| GW32 Fixture | Arsenal vs Bournemouth (H) |
Good buy, especially if you're chasing your mini-league rivals. Low ownership plus a premium fixture is exactly the combination you want at this stage of the season.
3. Wilson (Fulham) - £6.1m | 24.9% Ownership
Callum Wilson is one of the best value assets in FPL right now. The Fulham midfielder has 10 goals and 8 assists this season - stunning numbers for a £6.1m player - and scored again in GW31, playing 86 minutes against Burnley. He's averaging 5.2 points per game and has 5.9 expected points for GW32.
Fulham host Liverpool on Saturday, and while that might look daunting on paper, Wilson is exactly the kind of player who rises to big fixtures. With over 33,000 transfers in already this week, the community has clearly identified him as a priority target. His GW31 returns of 9 points (1 goal) back up the hype, and the Fulham home fixture makes him a compelling pick alongside the Arsenal double-up.
Check our expected points projections to see how Wilson stacks up against other midfield options this week.
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| Price | £6.1m |
| Ownership | 24.9% |
| Goals (Season) | 10 |
| Assists (Season) | 8 |
| GW31 Points | 9 |
| Avg Points Per Game | 5.2 |
| GW32 xP | 5.9 |
| GW32 Fixture | Fulham vs Liverpool (H) |
Good. Bring him in and don't overthink it. Ten goals and eight assists for £6.1m is exceptional value, and he's in form at the right time of the season.
❌ Transfers OUT: Three Players to Consider Selling
1. Šeško (Man Utd) - £7.4m | 6.9% Ownership
Šeško is quickly becoming a GW32 liability. He came off the bench in GW31, playing just 19 minutes in a Man Utd defeat, and nearly 18,000 managers are already moving him out this week. While his 9-goal tally for the season looks decent on paper, his form is fading fast and Michael Carrick's side look disjointed right now.
The fixture doesn't help either. Man Utd travel to Leeds in GW32, where Leeds carry a surprisingly respectable FDR of 4 at home. With just 5.1 expected points for the gameweek, Šeško is one of the least attractive holds at his price point. The budget could almost entirely fund a move to Gyökeres with the right sell-on elsewhere.
Sell and reinvest elsewhere. Fading form, a tough away fixture, and limited minutes make Šeško very hard to justify holding into GW32.
2. Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool) - £6.3m | 34.9% Ownership
Virgil played the full 90 minutes in Liverpool's 2-1 defeat to Brighton in GW31, collecting just 3 points as his side conceded. Liverpool have now let in 42 goals this season - a damning statistic for any defensive asset in their backline. Nearly 20,000 managers are transferring him out this week.
GW32 brings Fulham at home, which is far from a nailed clean sheet prospect given Liverpool's recent defensive frailties. With 5.3 expected points, the case for holding him over Gabriel - who costs just £0.9m more and has 8.8 xP - becomes very difficult to justify. If you need funds to upgrade to the Arsenal defensive core, Virgil is the natural source.
Want to compare Virgil's defensive output to other options? Our defensive contributions tracker has you covered.
Sell if you need the funds to upgrade elsewhere, particularly for Gabriel. Liverpool's defensive record this season doesn't justify holding him at £6.3m.
3. João Pedro (Chelsea) - £7.8m | 50% Ownership
João Pedro is the most-sold player in GW32 by some distance - over 52,000 managers are moving him out this week. He played 77 minutes in Chelsea's 3-0 hammering by Everton in GW31 without scoring or assisting, and now faces arguably the worst possible GW32 fixture: Man City away.
Despite an impressive season on paper - 14 goals and 9 assists - the combination of a blank GW31, a nightmare upcoming fixture, and Liam Rosenior still finding his feet at Chelsea makes this a very risky hold. At 50% ownership, the template pressure to sell is enormous, and those who act now will avoid the red arrow risk if he blanks against City.
Hold if you're short on transfers, but if you have a free chip or a spare transfer, there are far better places for that £7.8m heading into GW32.
🎯 Differentials: Two Low-Ownership Picks That Could Explode
Looking to separate yourself from the template this weekend? These two under-the-radar picks could deliver massive green arrows in GW32.

🔥 Flier of the Week: Igor Jesus (Nott'm Forest) - £5.8m | 1.2% Ownership
This is the differential pick of the gameweek. Igor Jesus scored in GW31, played 70 minutes, and earned 8 points including bonus in Forest's 3-0 demolition of Spurs. He has 3 goals and 4 assists this season - solid involvement numbers - and now faces Aston Villa at home in GW32.
Sean Dyche's Forest have been outstanding both defensively and on the counter-attack this season, and with just 1.2% ownership, Igor Jesus represents the ultimate differential. If he delivers in GW32, you'll be raking in green arrows while your mini-league rivals sit blank. At £5.8m he's reasonably affordable too, and the risk-reward ratio is compelling at this stage of the season.
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| Price | £5.8m |
| Ownership | 1.2% |
| Goals (Season) | 3 |
| Assists (Season) | 4 |
| GW31 Points | 8 |
| GW32 Fixture | Nott'm Forest vs Aston Villa (H) |
💡 Differential #2: Flemming (Burnley) - £5.3m | 0.4% Ownership
Flemming is the ultimate off-radar pick for GW32. He scored against Fulham in GW31, played the full 90 minutes, and earned 7 points. The Burnley midfielder now has 8 goals this season at just £5.3m - exceptional value if you're looking for a cheap enabler with attacking upside.
Burnley host Brighton in GW32. With a form rating of 4.8 and 4.3 expected points, this isn't a nailed haul, but at 0.4% ownership, even a moderate return generates massive rank movement. If you have a wildcard slot or a spare transfer burning a hole in your pocket, Flemming is the kind of pick that can define your season.

🏆 Captaincy Pick: Gabriel (Arsenal)
It sounds unconventional, but Gabriel is the recommended captaincy option for Gameweek 32. Here's why: 8.8 expected points at home against Bournemouth, 14 clean sheets this season, set-piece threat with 3 goals and 4 assists, and an average of 6.9 points per game. No other defensive asset in the game offers this combination of floor and ceiling.
If you have Gyökeres, the captaincy conversation becomes even simpler - both players share the same home fixture against Bournemouth, so whoever you back with the armband is backed by the same outstanding fixture logic. The Arsenal home game on Saturday is the standout match of the GW32 weekend for FPL purposes.
GW32 xP: 8.8 - highest of any defender
Arsenal host Bournemouth (FDR 5 away) - as good as fixtures get
14 clean sheets this season - elite defensive output
Set-piece threat: 3 goals, 4 assists - attacking upside on top of clean sheet points
6.9 average points per game - outperforming many premium midfielders
⚠️ Key Strategic Tip: Avoid the Chelsea vs Man City Trap
One important warning for GW32: don't be tempted by the Chelsea vs Man City fixture on Sunday. Both teams are unpredictable right now - Chelsea are still finding their identity under Liam Rosenior, and Man City's FPL assets have been erratic. The risk-to-reward ratio on assets from that game is poor compared to the weekend's other fixtures.
Instead, the smart play is an Arsenal and Fulham double-up. The combination of Gabriel, Raya, Gyökeres, and Wilson gives you solid coverage across the two best FPL fixtures of the weekend, with clean sheet potential on the Arsenal side and a returning midfielder in Wilson at Fulham. This is the blueprint for a strong GW32.
Gabriel (Arsenal DEF) - clean sheet + set piece threat vs Bournemouth
Raya (Arsenal GK) - 6.0 xP, same fixture, strong clean sheet potential
Gyökeres (Arsenal FWD) - 11 goals, 6.8 xP vs Bournemouth
Wilson (Fulham MID) - 10 goals, 8 assists, 5.9 xP vs Liverpool
