Gameweek 33 Essentials: Double Gameweek Goldmine, Must-Have Transfers & A Surprise Differential

Gameweek 33 is shaping up to be one of the most pivotal weeks of the season, with double gameweek opportunities, injury concerns, and some serious transfer decisions to make. We've broken down everything you need to know before the Saturday 18th April, 10am deadline. Let's get into it.

Guéhi was absolutely sensational in Gameweek 32 - he scored a goal, kept a clean sheet, and picked up three bonus points for a total of 15 points. He now has 11 clean sheets this season and sits on 150 total points, making him one of the standout value defenders in the game.

The reason this is a must-act situation: Man City have a double gameweek in GW33, taking on Arsenal at home before travelling to Burnley. The Burnley fixture is an incredible clean sheet opportunity. With 17.5 expected points for GW33, Guéhi is arguably the best value play across the entire game right now.

At just £4.6m, Kroupi.Jr is the budget gem of the season. Bournemouth beat Arsenal 1-0 in GW32, and he scored again - that's 10 goals on the season at a price that frankly seems impossible. He's seeing massive transfer interest this week with nearly 23,000 transfers in, and it's easy to see why.

Bournemouth face Newcastle away in GW33 (fixture difficulty rating of 3) before hosting Leeds in a midweek fixture. His expected points sit at 8.6 for the next gameweek - solid numbers for a player at this price point. The value is simply extraordinary.

Twenty-one goals this season. Two more in GW32's 2-2 draw with Everton. Thiago is absolutely flying and is firmly in the Golden Boot conversation. At £7.3m he still represents excellent value in the forward line - his 166 total points this season back that up.

Brentford host Fulham in GW33 - a fixture difficulty of 3 on paper, but Thiago has shown time and again that he can haul against anyone. His form rating of 7.7 and expected points of 7.7 make him our captaincy pick this week (more on that below).

Chelsea got hammered 3-0 by Man City in GW32, and João Pedro blanked again - just 2 points from 81 minutes. His form has completely fallen off a cliff. Yes, Chelsea have a double gameweek in GW33 against Man Utd and Brighton, but with the Blues looking so vulnerable defensively, opposition clean sheets feel more likely than Chelsea goals right now.

Rogers picked up just 5 points in GW32 and is seeing nearly 30,000 transfers out this week. His form has dipped significantly with a rating of just 4.3, and the Villa squad has real injury concerns - Konsa was benched and Martinez's situation remains unclear.

Aston Villa face Sunderland at home in GW33, and despite the home advantage, Sunderland have been in brilliant form - beating Spurs 1-0 and Newcastle 2-1 in recent weeks. Expected points of just 4.3 do not justify the £7.4m price tag right now.

Arsenal lost 1-2 to Bournemouth in GW32 and are being transferred out by nearly 14,000 managers. Gyökeres scored, but Arsenal looked vulnerable defensively and now face Man City at home in GW33 - a brutal fixture against a side in terrific form.

With a form rating of 6.0 and that City fixture looming, the risk-reward calculation doesn't add up at £8.8m. City's defence - featuring the very Guéhi we're recommending buying - will be a tough nut to crack.

Here's the jaw-dropping stat: Mateta came off the bench in GW32 and still smashed in two goals for 12 points. Twelve points as a substitute. Imagine if he starts. Crystal Palace face West Ham away on Monday 20th April - and West Ham just shipped four goals against Wolves. With 10 goals this season and a form rating of 6.5, Mateta is criminally underowned at just 6.5%.

At just 2.9% ownership, Beto is genuinely flying under the radar. He scored again in GW32 - that's 7 goals this season from one of the most underowned forwards in the game. Everton host Liverpool in GW33 which is a tough ask, but Beto's expected points of 7.8 show the algorithm believes in him, and his form rating of 8.3 is one of the best in the entire game right now.

Our captaincy recommendation for Gameweek 33 is Thiago from Brentford. Twenty-one goals this season, two braces in recent weeks, hosting Fulham at home, and in the form of his life. The Golden Boot race is very real and every single gameweek feels like a potential haul for the Brentford striker. With a form rating of 7.7 and 7.7 expected points, he's the standout captain option in a week without a clear premium double gameweek captaincy.

If you're not loading up on Man City assets for their double gameweek, at the very minimum get Guéhi in. Fifteen points in GW32. Seventeen point five expected points in GW33. A double gameweek with one nailed-on clean sheet opportunity against Burnley. He is the standout value play across the entire game right now and shouldn't be in fewer than 33% of teams, let alone yours.
