Palmer is the standout captaincy option for Gameweek 3. He has 20 total points this season, a form rating of 10.0, and scored in Gameweek 2 during Chelsea's seven-goal thriller against Brighton. Chelsea travel to Arsenal and Palmer is their creative heartbeat - expect him to be central to everything. With expected points of 10.0 for GW3, no other player matches his ceiling right now. Yes, Arsenal away is a tough fixture on paper, but Palmer operates in a different gear.

If you want the safer, template captaincy call, Haaland is your man. He banged in a brace in Gameweek 2 for 13 points and now faces Coventry City at home - one of the most favourable fixtures in the gameweek. At 71.7% ownership, captaining him protects your rank even if the armband returns are modest. He is the definition of a floor-raising captain pick.
